Rules & Policies
Registration
No valid player card = cannot play. All players must be registered before taking part in any match.
Kick-off
Teams must be vetted and team sheets submitted 15 minutes before kick-off. Late teams forfeit 3-0. Late players do not play.
Rescheduling
Request 14 days in advance or forfeit 3-0.
Red Card
A red card carries a 1-match ban. Use of false documents results in a 6-point deduction.
General Play
No back passes to the goalkeeper. FIFA rules apply unless stated otherwise.
Kits
Matching kits required (except goalkeepers).
Weather Cancellations
Communicated in advance where possible, otherwise closer to match time.
Team and Player Registration
- Registration is only guaranteed once a deposit has been made.
- Players with existing approved cards are ready to play.
New players must:
- Complete the new player registration form — DYFL Player Registration Form
- Complete a new league card
- Receive approval by the league coordinator
- Proof of age is mandatory for all players.
- All documents must be verified before players are given player cards. Officials in charge of verification have the right to deny participation until further documentation is provided.

- Fees are non-refundable.
- Failure to meet payment deadlines results in a 3-0 walkover.
- League slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Awards & Recognition
Each season, the Diamond Youth Football League recognises player effort, commitment, and development through team and individual awards, which may include trophies, medals, or certificates.
- Awards costs are not included in league fees.
- Awards are funded through sponsorship and external support.
- Categories and quantities may vary each season based on sponsorship.
